For the Plenary operner to Telstra's biggest event of the year, we wanted to push the boundaries of what was possible on a large scale. We enlisted the talents of one of the world's best beat boxers, Reeps One, to perform for the plenary opener. He created a musical composition that took the audience on a journey from the human to the technological and back again as they slowly came to the realisation that the incredible sounds they were hearing were coming from Reeps himself, and not any instrument.

To support Reeps we built cutom software that would use his distinct voice to drive the visuals, live and in real time. Reeps would be able to improvise and modify his performance, and the visuals would follow suit. Technologically challenging, these visuals would be projected across an enormous 30 metre wide screen.

The opener was a great success, and a brilliant collaboration across disciplines and countries.
