In 2017, we were awarded the opportunity to completely reveamp Marina Bay Sands' light, fountain and projection show. We were tasked with creating a piece of content that reflected and represented Singapore itself with its mixed cultural heritage and reputation as a city at the forefront of South East Asia. We were responsible for the projection content and much of the infrastructure, and collaborated with French fountain specialists Aquatique who created the fountain and light show.

My responsibility was primarily in bringing the sequence with the Phoenix to life, given my experience with rigging and animating rigged characters. It was a pleasure to help bring the mythical bird to life and contribute towards a exceptional piece of content that would entertain guests of Singapore every night. It's not often that I get the opportunity to contribute to a project that has the longevity as this one.

I also went to Singapore for the launch and filmed the above sequence, which had its own set of challenges, not least of which was flying and filming from a drone over water in a busy metropolitan area. Overall, I was incredibly pleased with the final result.
