The theme for ASX's 2017 conference was ‘Technology Ecosystems: The new digital reality’, and as in previous years, the overarching creative made extensive use of fireflies. This was our third year creating screen content for this conference, and in order to evolve the visuals, I looked to integrate the concepts of “digital reality” and “think, feel and do” into the opener.
The opener was designed to take us on a journey from a familiar, physical reality represented by the forest scene, into a digital reality that is formed by the movement and swarming of the fireflies. This digital reality is represented in the brain (think), hands (feel), and face paced, warp-like movement (do). The forest connected the screen content with one of the primary images used in the print creative.
